All things Poetry!

Hello Poetry Lovers,

National Poetry Month has been rolling along here in the library and our elementary students have really been immersed. This week I will be helping them to select the poems that they will choose to read for our upcoming poetry reading on the 28th. We will also be exploring some new poems and choosing the one they will bring in for poem in a pocket day on the 29th.

The poetry reading will be held on Thursday, April 28th in Shatto Chapel. Grades 4-8 will be sharing their original works from 10:15-10:50 and grades K-3 will be sharing from 2-3 pm.

If you have any questions or see any issues please feel free to email me. Below is another favorite poem of mine that always helps me to feel motivated and inspired. Please feel free to share some of your favorites with me as well in the comments below. Have a great week yall!

But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, And every tomorrow a vision of hope. -Kalidasa
