We've been reading, writing and rolling along all month long!!

Updated: Jan 10, 2023

Hello Pilgrim book lovers we've been busy here in the library. Your budding writers have done weeks of pre-writing activities and have actually begun the writing process. Students began working on page one of their picture books and have been practicing introducing their main characters as well as perfecting their illustrations. We've been reading holiday themed books for the past 2 weeks and discussing how important illustrations are in picture books and how they help to 'tell' the story. I can't wait to share what they've been working so hard on with all of you.

As we get ready for winter break and the holidays I want to introduce you to an amazing resource for finding kid friendly activities to do with your littles. Common Sense Media is a wonderful resource for parents. It provides entertainment and technology recommendations that are kid friendly and parent trusted. Here are some links you may find useful.

The holidays are also a great time to bond with family without screen time. Check out this page for some ideas you can do with your kids big and little.

I hope you find this resource as helpful as I do with my own little one. Happy scrolling and have a great holiday break. See you soon!!
