Where is the time going?

Updated: May 11, 2022

The year is winding up faster than I can keep up. How is it May already? Last months poetry reading was a roaring success. I was so proud of all the readers across the grades. It really takes courage to stand in front of others and share your art but our students did it with a smile and flair. They are all so brave and I couldn't be prouder of them. Poetry love continues throughout the end of the year as students are encouraged to keep writing and turn in their poetry for submission to our first literary magazine that will be published by the end of this year. Look out for more news from the Pilgrim Poets Society soon! There is also an art competition afoot for the cover of the poetry journal. Please remember that all final submissions are due by May, 22nd.

This month I am working on tweaking the details of the summer reading challenge and beginning the hunt for missing books. Parent's please encourage your little's to check bookshelves and look under beds and work on returning library books. Notes will be going out soon to students who have materials still checked out. I'm gonna need this year to just slow down a bit because there is still so much to do. Happy Reading book lovers!
